Osama Shawky, the head of the New Warraq Island Development Authority, announced that the authority has successfully conducted its 53rd public lottery, Invest-Gate reports.
As part of this process, letters were delivered to several families from Warraq Island, allocating alternative housing units in New October City. These letters provided details such as building numbers, unit numbers, and the specific region and city of the allocated units.
This initiative aligns with the directives of Assem El-Gazzar, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, aimed at facilitating procedures for the residents of Warraq Island and offering them satisfactory alternatives.
Shawky further explained that the lottery included 43 families, with the process taking place daily at the New Warraq Authority Hall on the island throughout the previous week and continuing into the current week. The lottery will cover a total of 314 families residing on the island who have opted for alternative housing units, with approximately 1,380 family files having been processed thus far.
Following the completion of the lottery, Shawky personally handed over the allocation letters to the beneficiaries of the alternative housing units from Warraq Island. The data was finalized based on the conducted lottery, in preparation for the recipients to receive their units. Notably, the alternative units offer areas of up to 90 sqm.
Shawky emphasized that after the lotteries are completed and the allocation letters are delivered, the beneficiaries from Warraq Island will proceed to the New October City Authority and the Imbaba Airport area to complete the necessary receipt procedures.
