New Sphinx Authority Gets 6,240 Applications for Land Reconciliation

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar said that the New Sphinx City Authority has received 6,240 requests for reconciliation on land plots located in the new city, Invest-Gate reports.

This included applications for completing the legalization of lands in the city, in accordance with Law No. 144 of 2017, according to a statement on January 30.

The authority has already finalized the initial planning for the implementation of the 20,000-acre first phase of New Sphinx, in addition to a general plan for Al Solaimaneyah City located within the new city, the authority’s head Khaled Sorour said.

Sorour also referred to the under-construction free axis that will link the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road with Rod El Farag – El Dabaa axis, according to the statement.

In January 2019, the Vice President of New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) Abdulmutallab Mamdouh inaugurated the administrative headquarters of New Sphinx Authority.

The city is considered one of the fourth generation smart cities, which implements the criteria of sustainable development and relishes a privileged location due to its proximity to Sphinx International Airport and Pyramids of Giza, which deems it attractive for the establishment of mega tourism and leisure projects, the official noted.
