QAS International, one of the leading accreditation bodies, has awarded the New Tiba Development Authority with the International Management System Certification (ISO 45001), in recognition of its intense efforts and the implementation of high-quality projects within the new city, Invest-Gate reports.
The move comes in line with the New Urban Communities Authority’s (NUCA) scheme to qualify some of the new cities’ bodies to enhance the implementation quality of the various projects in these areas to be compatible with the standards of the newly-developed cities, Head of New Tiba Development Authority Mostafa Saied noted in a ministerial statement on July 10.
According to Saied, a number of employees from New Tiba Development Authority have received certificates as a token for their exceptional efforts in developing high-quality developments within the set timeframes.
On April 17, Saied had indicated that 31 service projects were finalized to provide various services and amenities to New Tiba residents. In addition, a total of 6,912 social housing units, situated within 288 buildings, have also been completed.
Developed over 9,495 acres in the northeast of Luxor, New Tiba is home to 21,000 inhabitants, while targeting to house 238,000 people. About 8,110 housing units are underway in the new city, besides nearly 62 service buildings.
