Nouran Gohar, a Palm Hills Sports Club player, has triumphed in the CIB Squash World Championship, marking it as the largest and most prestigious event in squash history, Invest-Gate reports.
This victory underscores the success of Palm Hills’ strategy and the management of Palm Hills Sports Club in attracting and supporting top athletes across various sports, fostering their success, and sharing their expertise with young talents to maintain Egypt’s dominance on the podium.
Gohar secured her victory in the final match by defeating the world’s number one player, Nour El Sherbini, with a score of 3-1. Expressing her joy, Gohar said, “Winning the CIB Squash World Championship, hosted at Palm Hills Sports Club and sponsored by Palm Hills, fueled my motivation to clinch the title for the first time.”
Gohar added that she aims to win more championships and set new records in squash. Her focus is on intensive training to reach the top of the women’s world rankings.
Palm Hills hosted the CIB Squash World Championship 2024 at their sports club from May 8 to 15. This aligns with their strategy of investing in sports, supporting Egyptian athletes, and enhancing Egypt’s leading status in squash. The company also aims to help squash talents qualify for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
