The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) has agreed to allocate 31.65 acre-land plot to Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation to establish an international center for research and treatment of heart diseases in New Aswan City, Invest-Gate reports.
The allocation of the land includes certain conditions such as structural requirements, project deadlines, and payment methods, according to a statement by Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Mostafa Madbouly.
The project is set for completion within five years of the date of obtaining a ministerial approval for construction on the land.
The Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation is already operating the fully-functioning Aswan Heart Centre (AHC), launched in 2009, and occupies an area of 9000 square-meter adjacent to the Aswan General Teaching Hospital.
On another note, NUCA also agreed to sell 4092.26 square-meter land in New Cairo to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to build an integrated services complex.
