The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) has approved the allocation of 81 land plots across 23 new cities for the establishment of various integrated urban projects, including schools, factories, hotels, hospitals, and commercial services, Invest-Gate reports.

In his meeting with NUCA’s Board of Directors, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar said 16 parcels were allotted in New Cairo, along with three others in each of west Cairo’s 6th of October City and New October City, separately, according to a ministerial statement on September 13.

Aside from the allocation of individual plots in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), 15th of May City, New Obour, New Mallawi, New Minya, and New Nubaria, nine lands were extended in each of 10th of Ramadan City and New Borg El Arab, together with seven plots in Sadat City, five plots in New Damietta, four plots in Obour City, and two plots in New Fayoum, El Gazzar added.

New Sohag and New Beni Suef will also see the allotment of five and four plots, respectively, on top of two other parcels in each of Shorouk City, Badr City, October Gardens, and Sheikh Zayed, separately, the minister further stated.

During the meeting, NUCA agreed on a memorandum on the mechanism for dealing with lands located within the boundaries of Republican Decree No. 249 of 2016, with regard to New Obour for registered agricultural lands whose seriousness has not been demonstrated, as well as leased croplands that require the conversion of lease contracts.

As of September 15, NUCA will be offering 3,098 housing plots in 11 new cities, ranging between 209 and 287 square meters, through a land lottery system until October 15, according to a previous statement.
