NUCA Extends Deadline for Payments for Permit-Holders in New Cities

The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) has extended the deadline to receive the full payment on concessions for residential, commercial and administrative units in new cities until December 31 in efforts to facilitate the avoidance of penalties, according to a statement from the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities.

Permit-holders who have paid 75% of their total dues by the new deadline will be exempted from 70% of the late penalty fee on arrears; those who have paid 50% of their total payment owed will be exempted from 45% of late penalties, and those who have paid 25% of the total payment will be exempted from 20% of late penalties.

Applicants who miss the new deadline will be subject to legal action, according to the Ministry.

In other news, the Housing Ministry has also announced that a new land plot in New Damietta has been allocated for the construction of a healthcare unit spanning a 16,284 square meter area and which will operate under the auspices of the Ministry of Health. A 25-acre land plot has also been allocated for the Sohag Sporting Club and Youth Center.
