The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities agreed to extend the deadline for year for cooperative housing associations and professional syndicates who received lands from New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) to finalize projects that have not yet been completed.
This applies to all plots of land in new cities that have been allocated to the associations and syndicates. Moreover, the associations or syndicates must not have any financial dues owed to NUCA, and if they do, they must be settled within two months of approval.
Additionally, any lawsuits filed against NUCA must be dropped, and the extension does not apply to land allocated for the National Housing Program or the Social Housing Program.
NUCA has also agreed to requests of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Housing to dedicated land in the First Settlement in New Cairo to build two hospitals, according to Minister of Housing Mostafa Madbouly.
Two land plots will be given by NUCA to build two health units located in 6th of October City, which will measure 4,500 square meters.
