The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) has said its board of directors (BoD) agreed to allocate five land plots in a number of new cities to establish technological universities, Invest-Gate reports.
With a total area of 76.6 acres, lands are located in New Assiut, New Burj Al Arab, New 6th of October, New Tiba, and East Port Said, according to a recent ministerial statement.
During NUCA’s meeting headed by Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar, the board also noded to the allocation of six four-acre land parcels in New Cairo for non-residential purposes. This is in addition to another four and seven plots allocated in the 10th of Ramadan and Shorouk cities, respectively, for various activities, namely industrial, commercial, and integrated urban purposes.
During Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar’s statement on January 9, said “The state’s role is to allocate new areas for urban development, while also incorporating the appropriate infrastructure and services to help investors and developers pursue this endeavor.”
Last September, Egypt’s housing ministry announced its plans for making the largest land offerings in new cities, including residential, service, and commercial plots, while presenting various distinguished apartments and villas nationwide.
