The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) is offering 2,108 plots in eight new cities, ranging from 209 to 287 square meters, for varying income classes through a land lottery system, Invest-Gate reports.
Sadat City will see 425 land offerings, while 425 plots will be allocated in 10th of Ramadan, 290 lands in New Qena, and 250 land plots in New Qena, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar said in a statement on March 28. In addition, 200 plots will be offered in each of New Sohag and New Beni Suef, as well as, 150 and 93 pieces in New Qena and New Akhmim cities, respectively, he added.
Withdrawal of terms and conditions booklets from authorities of the aforementioned cities will commence on March 31. Afterward, reservations will take place from April 3 to 18 at branches of the Housing and Development Bank.
Deputy Chairman of NUCA for Real Estate and Commercial Affairs Tarek El Sebai said those qualified for the offer should be Egyptian citizens, not less than 21 years old, in addition to that all family members are not entitled to apply for more than one land plot in those eight cities.
Applicants should pay not less than 25% of the land’s price as a deposit, while the remaining 75% of the total land price shall be paid over three equal annual installments, with no interest, El Sebai added.
As for the method of allocation of proposed lands, a public lottery will take place. However, the date and location of the land lottery in each city will be announced in the near future.
