The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) reveals that its planning and projects sector is progressing around 35 construction, service, and investment projects on a total area of 5,700 acres in 12 new cities to lure investments and open up new horizons for new cities’ development, Invest-Gate reports.
The announcement comes as Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Development Mostafa Madbouly issued a statement on Saturday, May 26, referring to the establishment of such urban communities to ensure sustainability at all levels within the framework of NUCA’s active contribution to the state’s development.
In its statement, Head of the Planning and Projects Sector Ragaa Fouad explains that the developments will be implemented in New Cairo, 6th of October, October Gardens, Obour, Sheikh Zayed, Shorouq, Sohag, and New Assiut.
“The new projects will contribute to boosting investments in the local market, and thus, providing more than 220,000 direct and indirect job opportunities, which will lead to the development of these new cities and encourage further foreign and domestic investments,” Fouad adds.
