Egypt’s cabinet approved on September 4 the reallocation of a 23,241.8-acre plot for the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) to establish a new fully-fledged residential development in New Port Said, Invest-Gate reports.
The announcement came during the cabinet’s weekly meeting, where it was also revealed that 303.34 acres of state-owned lands in Red Sea Governorate were reassigned for implementing various development projects, by virtue of laws and regulations related to that matter, according to a recent official statement.
Additionally, the Council of Ministers ratified Giza Governorate’s request to allot several land plots to build multiple projects to serve the area’s occupants, including the construction of public hospitals and schools, alongside a youth center and a service complex.
Moreover, 1,008 housing units in Badr City will accommodate crafts workers who earlier had to evacuate their homes under the restructuring and renovation of Magra El Oyoun aqueduct in Old Islamic Cairo, which was previously launched by the state in an attempt to eradicate unsafe areas and slums.
