O West, the fully integrated town developed by Orascom Development in West Cairo, has entered into a 10-year agreement with Orange Egypt, a leading telecommunications service provider, Invest-Gate reports.
Under this partnership, Orange Egypt will establish a fiber network to deliver high-speed internet connectivity and Triple Play services in the O West to provide it with state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure and digital connectivity that aligns with global technological standards.
It is worth noting that the agreement was signed by Tamer Dewidar, CEO of O West, Makadi Heights, and Byoum; and Yasser Shaker, CEO of Orange Egypt.
Dewidar emphasized that his goal is to provide customers with a comfortable and comprehensive living experience and to focus on finalizing residential, entertainment, and technology services before residents move to the town. He expressed confidence in Orange Egypt’s track record of delivering cutting-edge telecommunications services and their ability to add value to O West.
For his part, Hesham Mahran, Chief Business Officer at Orange Egypt, highlighted that the cooperation with O West demonstrates Orange’s commitment to providing superior service in major real estate projects.
Mahran stated that by collaborating with renowned smart-city technology providers, Orange Egypt is raising the bar for advanced technologies in the Egyptian market. The partnership with O West represents a significant step toward creating success stories.
It is noteworthy that O West continues solidifying its leading position in West Cairo, with real estate sales reaching EGP 3.6 bn in H1 2023, reflecting a 47.8% increase compared to EGP 2.4 bn in the same period last year. Since its launch, O West has achieved approximately EGP 21 bn in real estate sales and has commenced the delivery of over 1,000 units during 2023.
