Constructions works are currently taking place on approximately 27,000 social housing units in Obour City in addition to 5,160 units in Dar Misr projects, Invest-Gate reports.
The Dar Misr units are being built on 122 acres, where 2,136 will be developed in the first phase and 3,024 units in a second phase of the project dedicated to middle-income citizens.
“The units have floor plans of 90 square meters,” says Head of the city’s Authority Ahmed Omran in a released statement.
Obour City also plans to launch 130 special social housing buildings that will include 3,120 units across 66 acres of land.
