Omar Effendi subsidiary of the Holding Company for Construction and Development of the Ministry of Public Business Sector (HCCD) has partnered with UAE-based retail conglomerate Majid Al Futtaim- the leading company in the field of developing and managing shopping centers, integrated cities, retail and entertainment facilities in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, which owns the “Carrefour” franchise- to open new branches of Carrefour in its Omar Effendi premises.

Real Mark, one of the Holding Company for Construction and Development affiliated to the Ministry of Public Business Sector, in cooperation with Amaken Real Estate Investment Company, undertook the negotiations on behalf of the holding company in an attempt to succeed in dealing with public business sector companies and private companies such as Majid Al Futtaim.

The cooperation includes the framework of a comprehensive plan to develop 14 branches and will be carried out on a number of phases, beginning with branches development, then opening new ones in the commercial centers to enhance the services provided to the clients.
Moreover, the plan includes evolving the capability of workers in “Omar Effendi” branches by activating and improving commercial services, providing high-quality products manufactured locally and internationally, developing work mechanisms, and electronic payment methods.

This partnership comes within the framework of the Holding Company for Construction’s strategy to develop the branches of the prestigious “Omar Effendi” chain, so that it will return as the most famous leading brands in the Egyptian, African and Arab markets, as it has a great impact on maximizing returns and revenues.

The cooperation protocol was signed by Major General Ayman Salem, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Omar Effendi”, and Jean-Luc Graziato, Director of Carrefour Egypt at “Majid Al Futtaim Retail”, in the presence of Eng. Hisham Abu Al-Ata, Chairman of the Holding Company for Construction and Development, and Dalia Al-Anani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Real Mark. And Jasser Bahjat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Amaken Real Estate Investment Company.
