Ora Developers continues to assert its leadership in the real estate development realm with the announcement of its ambitious project, “Ali Al-Wardi,” the largest residential city in Baghdad, Iraq, Invest-Gate reports.

This project falls under the Iraqi government’s plan and strategy to establish new residential cities outside city centers, aiming to alleviate the urban housing crisis.

The signing of the contract for the new Ali Al-Wardi Residential City project was attended by the Iraqi Prime Minister, H.E. Mr. Mohammed S. Al-Sudani. The contract was signed by H.E. Bangin Rekani, the Iraqi Minister of Construction, Housing, Municipalities, and Public Works, and Eng. Naguib Sawiris, Global CEO and Chairman of the Ora Developers Group.

The project’s objective is to create a smart and environmentally friendly residential community that effectively integrates human needs and offers a unique experience for residents. It encompasses a diverse range of residential units catering to various segments of society, from economic to luxury units.

The project’s vision includes providing essential services such as education, healthcare, and social services, as well as entertainment and shopping facilities for residents and neighboring communities.

Strategically positioned approximately 25 km southeast of Baghdad and 74 km from Baghdad Airport, the development spans a total land area of 61 million sqm. It will offer over 100,000 residential units, along with extensive green areas and parks covering 5 million sqm. The city will specialize in providing advanced technological infrastructure for smart cities and will adhere to the highest sustainability standards.
