Orascom Construction Adds USD 750 mn Projects to Backlog in Q3

Orascom Construction said it added new projects to its backlog during the third quarter of 2017, Invest-Gate reports.

The new projects, to be executed in the Middle East and the United States, are valued at USD 750 mn, of which over USD 550 mn will be spend on projects related to “infrastructure and select buildings work in Egypt,” the company said in a statement.

Orascom will also carry out commercial and federal infrastructure work for Weitz and Contrack Watts in the US.

“We had indicated that we are pursuing an active bidding pipeline in MENA and USA, and remain confident of our ability to secure additional work that fits our criteria,” Osama Bishai, CEO of Orascom Construction, was quoted in the statement as saying.
