Byoum City, one of Orascom Development’s destinations in Fayoum Governorate, has announced the signing of a partnership agreement with Sigma Development and Projects Management Company to renovate and reopen the Byoum Hotel, Invest-Gate reports.
The hotel, to be named “Steigenberger Lake side Resort – Byoum,” is expected to officially open in October 2025. It will play a crucial role in the comprehensive development of Fayoum Governorate, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Egypt’s prominent tourist destinations.
Under the agreement, Sigma Development and Project Management will invest in renovating the existing hotel building, which originally comprised 62 rooms.
Additionally, two new annexes will be constructed, increasing the total number of rooms to around 108. All rooms will offer breathtaking views of the lake and the adjacent desert nature reserve on the opposite shore.
The hotel will also feature a sports stadium complex, event halls for weddings and meetings, commercial units, and a comprehensive health club catering to both hotel guests and unit owners in Byoum City.
Orascom Development will oversee the construction work, while the Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts international group will manage the hotel and its annexes.
The design of Steigenberger Lake side Resort – Byoum will incorporate a modern “Boho” concept, while maintaining the unique identity and natural surroundings of its exceptional location. The aim is to provide guests with a distinctive blend of comfort, elegance, and exceptional hospitality services.
