Orascom Development’s O West city is set to host the first Padel Festival which will host four international and local tournaments, on top of which FIP Gold that will be organized in Egypt for the first time, Invest-Gate reports.

The Padel Festival will be organized on October 19th-22nd under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the International and Egyptian Padel Federation, in collaboration with Ievents company.

The festival will see the participation of 48 teams from all over the world, in addition to 81 Egyptian male and female teams of professionals and juniors.

CEO of O West Tarek Kamel stresses the city’s keenness on supporting the padel sport in Egypt and the discovery and development of young talents to build a generation of professional champions to compete in international sports tournaments.

For his part, CEO of Ievents Amr Mansi says that the Padel Festival in O West will attract fans through tournaments and workshops that include local and international experts in the game.

The Padel Festival will comprise four tournaments; the first, FIP Gold, will include 32 male teams; the second, FIP Rise, will include 16 female teams; the third will include 21 beginner teams; the fourth will include 60 teams.
