Palm Hills Developments has signed on as a “Golden Sponsor” for the 12th World Urban Forum (WUF12), scheduled to be held in Cairo from November 4 to 8 under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Invest-Gate reports.
The premier UN event forum, which will focus on urbanization and sustainable urban development under the theme “Everything Starts Locally: Working Together for Sustainable Cities and Communities, “ will be hosted by an African nation for the first time in 20 years.
Moreover, the event’s location in Cairo highlights Egypt’s leading role in urban development, showcasing the country’s commitment to integrated urbanization, sustainable infrastructure, and fourth-generation cities. The Egyptian government’s focus on enhancing living conditions through infrastructure development and national projects has positioned Egypt prominently in international indices.
Yassin Mansour, Chairman of Palm Hills Developments, will represent Egypt’s real estate sector at the event. His participation will spotlight Egypt’s transformative urban development over the past decade, emphasizing public-private collaboration in housing, commercial, educational, and recreational projects designed to meet local demand and enhance life in new cities.
As part of its commitment, Palm Hills aims to support Egypt’s position on the international stage and showcase its 33-million-square-meter portfolio of sustainable projects across Cairo, Alexandria, and the North Coast. “Palm Hills Developments” integrates sustainability and innovation to reduce carbon emissions and promote a healthy living environment.
Organized by UN-Habitat in partnership with Egypt’s Ministry of Housing and Ministry of Local Development, WUF12 is set to draw 20,000 participants, including 14,000 international attendees from 179 countries. With over 59 confirmed ministers, the event remains open for registration until the end of October.
