Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly attended the launch event of Jirian, a major new project located along Sheikh Zayed Axis, held at the Cabinet headquarters in the New Capital, Invest-Gate reports.
Yasseen Mansour, Chairman of Palm Hills, welcomed the Prime Minister and guests, expressing his delight at participating in what he described as one of the most significant developmental milestones in Egypt’s history. He thanked President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the government for their efforts in advancing Egypt’s Urban Development Plan 2052, which he said has created multiple investment opportunities and enhanced private sector involvement.
Mansour noted that large-scale initiatives such as the New Delta project—set to expand Egypt’s arable land by nearly 25%—play a key role in ensuring food security through modern irrigation techniques. He added that national development efforts aim to reduce infrastructure costs while maximising investment value, positioning Egypt as one of the most promising investment environments in the region.
Mansour said the launch of Jirian marks a strategic shift in Egypt’s urban development and offers a unique opportunity to establish a world-class tourism destination. The 361-feddan project in New Zayed boasts over 9 km of Nile frontage, with every unit enjoying a direct Nile view.
He added that the project will include architecturally distinctive islands, provide 100,000 jobs annually, and adopt sustainability models such as circular economy principles and flexible infrastructure systems. The company is also collaborating with international wellness and healthcare consultants to promote longevity, and plans to launch a new Palm Hills sports club focused on water activities, aiming for four Olympic medals at the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
