Palm Hills Squash Open Tournament to Launch Today Featuring 48 International Players and Cairo 3A Group as Official Sponsor

Palm Hills held a press conference to announce the launch of the first edition of the Palm Hills Squash Open Tournament, scheduled to take place from May 22 to 27, Invest-Gate reports.

The tournament will feature 48 top-ranked international male and female players, a total prize pool of $250,000, and Cairo 3A Group as the official sponsor.

The press conference was attended by Mr. Ahmed Abdelkhalek, General Director of Tourism and Sports Events, representing the Ministry of Youth and Sports; Mr. Yasseen Mansour, Chairman and CEO of Palm Hills; Mr. Amr Mansi, Founder and CEO of ievents; Mr. Ayman El-Gamil, Chairman of Cairo 3A Group; Mr. Alex Gough, CEO of the Professional Squash Association (PSA); Ms. Amna El-Taraboulsi, President of the Egyptian Squash Federation; and Captain Amir Wagih, Head of the Squash Program at Palm Hills.

“The Palm Hills Squash Open Tournament marks a strategic milestone in our journey to support and develop sports in Egypt,” commented Mr. Yasseen Mansour. “It provides a genuine platform to discover and nurture emerging talents, contributing to Egypt’s global leadership in squash and advancing our aspirations for Olympic qualification and medal contention at Los Angeles 2028.”

“This tournament also marks a step forward in positioning Egypt as a regional sports hub and underlines the vital role of sports in community development. It is an integral part of Palm Hills’ vision, strengthening the Palm Hills Sports Club as a world-class platform that empowers future champions across all disciplines,” he added.

Mr. Amr Mansi, CEO of ievents, stated, “We are thrilled to organize the first edition of the Palm Hills Squash Open Tournament, a valuable addition to Egypt’s international tournament calendar. Our goal is to deliver an exceptional organizational experience worthy of Egypt’s standing in the squash world and to affirm our ability to host global-standard sporting events that further promote Egypt as a world-class destination for tournaments.”

Ms. Amna El-Taraboulsi, President of the Egyptian Squash Federation, stated, “The Palm Hills Squash Open Tournament is a great opportunity for Egyptian players to participate in major tournaments held in Egypt. It helps improve their performances without the financial strain and high travel costs, offering valuable support to the development of Egyptian squash.”

The Palm Hills Squash Open Tournament is classified as a PSA Gold tournament and will be held from May 22 to 27, under the patronage of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Professional Squash Association (PSA), and Cairo 3A Group as the official sponsor, alongside Carrier as the gold sponsor.
