The implementation of the second phase of the water purification plant in 6th of October City has started, announced the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Mostafa Madbouly, reported Invest Gate.
The capacity of the water plant is 400,000 cubic meters per day, with a total cost of EGP 530 million, added Madbouly. The ministry will also undergo electromechanical works for EGP 700 million for the plant, scheduled to be in service by 2018.
“The total design capacity of the water plant in 6th of October is 1.6 million cubic meters per day to be implemented over four stages, according to the city’s demand for water,” said Essam Badawi, Chairperson of the 6th of October City Development Authority.
