The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and New Urban Communities plans to execute developments in New Mansoura City located in the Dakhlia governorate, Invest-Gate reports.
Development plans for the 7,606-acre city are expected to be designed in the upcoming period over the course of a number of phases, the first being the construction of facilities, according to a released statement.
This follows a meeting held earlier between the Dakhlia governor Hossam Emam and Mostafa Madbouly, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, where both discussed plans to develop the city into a coastal one such as the likes of East Port Said City and new Al Alamein City.
Madbouly confirmed that significant investment costs will be required to construct main facilities such as rural sanitation, a water treatment plant, an electricity station, public services buildings, and infrastructure projects.
The project will also include residential units targeted for Dakhlia residents operated and developed by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA).
Emam has urged the presence of several developments such as social housing, middle-income housing, high-end housing, an industrial area, a touristic area, public service centers, and a medical center in New Mansoura City. He expects a protocol to be signed soon between the governorate and ministry to plan these developments.
