During his visit to Suez, Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly toured the Knauf Egypt gypsum board and products plant, accompanied by several officials, Invest-Gate reports.
The visit included stops at various health, education, housing, and services projects.
Mohamed Abdel Rasoul, General Manager of Knauf Egypt, presented an overview of the plant’s operations. He noted that Knauf Egypt produces high-quality gypsum boards and metal accessories designed to meet local and international standards.
Moreover, products include moisture-resistant boards for humid environments like coastal areas, ideal for suspended ceilings and partition walls. Abdel Rasoul added that Knauf offers customizable designs for suspended ceilings and tailored metal components for gypsum walls, aligning with contractor needs in Egypt and beyond.
Abdel Rasoul highlighted Knauf Egypt’s €80 mn investment in the plant, which supports the company’s regional and domestic market goals. The factory is fully staffed by Egyptian labor, and Knauf has invested €600,000 in raw materials to ensure quality.
Furthermore, in alignment with its commitment to skill development, Knauf has established two training centers in Egypt, with €600,000 in investment. These centers train approximately 4,000 individuals annually on modern construction techniques, enhancing local expertise in the building industry.
Notably, Knauf Egypt has contributed to prominent national projects, including the Alamein Towers, the Iconic Tower, the Egyptian Parliament building, and multiple developments within the New Administrative Capital.
