Madbouly emphasized the government’s keen interest in monitoring ACUD’s projects and investments, highlighting the company’s central role in transforming the New Capital into a model for smart, green, and sustainable cities.

Presidency Cabinet Spokesperson Mohamed Al-Homsani stated that the meeting addressed ACUD’s recent developments, particularly in the diplomatic district — one of its flagship investments in phase one — which features advanced infrastructure and premium services catering to diplomatic missions.

The discussions also covered ACUD’s long-term urban planning strategies and sustainability goals aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Eng. Khaled Abbas noted the company’s ongoing efforts toward sustainable urban development, including international cooperation. He referenced a recent visit by the Congolese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning to explore potential collaboration on developing a new urban extension for Kinshasa, describing the New Capital as a pioneering continental project showcasing Egypt’s leadership in urban planning.

Abbas also highlighted outcomes from his June visit to Madagascar, where a joint committee was formed to facilitate technical cooperation and oversee the implementation of a new administrative capital project in the country.

He further pointed to opportunities for international collaboration in areas such as sustainable development, green construction, and environmental best practices.

The meeting also reviewed ACUD’s investments in entertainment, education, sports, and cultural activities that reinforce the city’s development vision. Additionally, officials discussed the volume of investments, job creation, and the operational status of public service projects across several districts, including the Government District, along with ACUD’s upcoming plans.
