Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, held a meeting to follow up on the investment plans at the “Abu Rawash” investment zone in Giza, Invest-Gate reports.
The meeting was attended by Hisham Aminah, Minister of Local Development, Ahmed Rashid, Governor of Giza, Hossam Heiba, GAFI CEO, and Mohamed El Sayed, Assistant Minister of Local Development.
Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, and Maha Fahim, President of the Urban Planning Authority, also participated in the meeting through video conference.
The Prime Minister pointed out that the purpose of this meeting is to monitor the investment plans for the Giza governorate and that there are many requests regarding the completion of development projects in this distinguished area.
During the meeting, Assem El-Gazzar presented the proposed plan for the investment zone and highlighted its unique location on important regional axes.
He explained the specific requirements for modifying the plan due to the increased demand for hotel housing, as well as the numerous investment requests for various activities such as commercial, healthcare, and industrial establishments.
The Minister emphasized that the area has been studied to identify the current allocations and the possibility of setting conditions that align with the current situation and the submitted requests.
Regarding the proposed vision for modifying the detailed plan of the area, El-Gazzar highlighted the suggestion of hotel and investment tourism service areas near the Grand Egyptian Museum to meet the demand for hotel and service activities.
Maha Fahim presented the existing and proposed road network in the area, including the “Sahara Al-Ahram” Axis, which runs parallel to the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road, starting from the Ring Road.
Hossam Heiba emphasized that the modified detailed plan for the area, which was approved last June, contributes to encouraging hotel and service activities. The aim is to facilitate procedures for investors and stakeholders in this context in general.
