Prime Minister Reviews a Number of Work Files of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development Company

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, met today with Eng. Khaled Abbas, Chairman and Managing Director of the Administrative Capital for Urban Development Company (ACUD), to review a number of the company’s work files. These include management, operation, services, transportation, and maintenance works in the New Capital, Invest-Gate reports.

The Prime Minister affirmed that the meeting comes within the framework of following up on the activities of ACUD and its efforts to manage and develop the city in order to achieve the desired goal of making it an integrated and leading model for sustainable smart cities. He directed the need to operate the various services in the city in light of the steadily increasing population of the New Capital.

Dr. Madbouly also stressed the importance of having continuous emergency teams working around the clock to monitor utility services. He further directed attention to the activities, events, and celebrations held in the New Capital, as this contributes to promoting the city and increasing demand for living there.

In this context, Eng. Khaled Abbas affirmed the company’s keenness to provide various services and increase their number, especially in light of the growing population of the New Capital. He noted the continued operation and improvement of services in cooperation with the relevant ministries and authorities, pointing out that residents of the New Capital currently enjoy a number of government services. He added that the company aims to enhance the quality of life for both residents and visitors across different sectors.

The Chairman stated that the population of the capital is currently increasing, which requires the rapid provision of quality-of-life services for citizens in the New Capital, whether related to infrastructure, services, maintenance, service management, or green areas.

Eng. Abbas explained that the New Capital hosted major artistic, cultural, and sports events throughout 2025. He noted that work is underway to launch several major celebrations in cooperation with leading specialized companies, and that major events and concerts are scheduled to promote the New Capital locally and internationally.

In this regard, Abbas pointed out that 2025 witnessed a number of achievements reflecting attention to the various services provided to residents. These include the opening of Wycombe Abbey International School, the signing of cooperation protocols between the company and international educational and health institutions, the opening of the Museum of the Qur’an Readers at the Islamic Cultural Center, as well as hosting the World Para Powerlifting Championships, among others.

Eng. Khaled Abbas also referred to the extent of green spaces available in the New Capital, explaining that several projects are set to be inaugurated in this regard. Preparations are underway for the opening of the Central Parks Project in the New Capital, known as the “Green River,” in the second quarter of this year.
