Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has chaired a meeting to discuss the development plans for the El-Dabaa region, Invest-Gate reports.
The meeting was attended by Assem El-Gazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities; Kamel El-Wazir, Minister of Transport; Maha Fahim, President of the General Authority for Urban Planning; Hisham El-Suwaifi, Assistant Advisor to the President of the Republic for Urban Planning; Abdel Aziz El-Feki, Assistant Head of the Engineering Authority for the Armed Forces; Bahaa El-Ghannam, Executive Director of Egypt’s Future Agency for Sustainable Development; and officials of relevant ministries and authorities.
The meeting was held in response to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to prepare a comprehensive study on the urban planning of the El-Dabaa region, both north and south of the Dabaa axis. The aim is to leverage Egypt’s developmental resources and components effectively, maximizing their benefits.
During the meeting, El-Wazir presented an overview of the axes and roads that have been constructed as part of the national project to establish a network of national roads and axes. These infrastructure developments play a crucial role in enhancing the value of the areas they traverse and attracting investments.
El-Gazzar highlighted the significance of the El-Dabaa axis and its connections, emphasizing that it is one of the most important development axes along the northwest coast. The axis serves as a crucial link to various priority areas for development.
