Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly chaired a meeting today to follow up on preparations for the Grand Egyptian Museum’s opening ceremony, scheduled for November 1, Invest-Gate reports.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed Ghoniem, CEO of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority; Ambassador Yasser Shaaban, Assistant Foreign Minister for Cultural Relations; Mohamed El-Saidy, Board Member of United Media Services and General Supervisor of the event; and senior officials.
Madbouly stressed the importance of coordination among all state bodies involved to ensure the event reflects the museum’s cultural significance and national importance.
Ambassador Shaaban reviewed the list of invited world leaders, noting that invitations had been sent to various countries, with Egyptian ambassadors abroad working to secure maximum participation. He also highlighted prominent public figures invited to the event.
El-Saidy outlined the main elements of the ceremony, including the program, accompanying events, and anticipated extensive global media coverage, underscoring the museum’s status as a heritage site of global importance.
