Prime Minister Reviews Progress on First Phase of “Decent Life” Initiative, Prepares for Second Phase Launch

Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting to review the implementation status of the first phase of the presidential initiative to develop Egyptian rural villages, “Decent Life,” and to discuss the ongoing preparations for the second phase, Invest-Gate reports.

The meeting was attended by Eng. Mohamed Salah El-Din Mostafa, Minister of State for Military Production; Major General Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of the Arab Organization for Industrialization; Dr. Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities; Major General Ashraf Hosni, representative of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority; Eng. Mamdouh Raslan, Chairman of the Holding Company for Water and Wastewater; Major General Amin Shawky, Chairman of the National Organization for Potable Water and Sanitary Drainage; Brigadier General Tamer El-Rouby, another representative of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority; Eng. Ahmed Abdel Azim and Eng. Ahmed Ramadan, representatives of the consulting office “Dar Al-Handasah”; Eng. Hassan Mustafa, representative of the Arab Contractors; and officials from various concerned authorities and companies participating in the implementation of the presidential initiative projects.

During the meeting, Madbouly emphasized the government’s commitment to following up on efforts to complete the projects of the first phase of the “Decent Life” initiative, which will facilitate the entry of more projects into service and expand the base of beneficiaries. He also highlighted the importance of the preparatory efforts to commence the second phase of the initiative during the next fiscal year.

He stressed the need to complete all projects within the first phase according to the specified timelines.

Counselor Mohamed Elhomosany, the official spokesperson for the Cabinet, stated that the meeting discussed the latest developments in the executive status of the projects under the first phase of the “Decent Life” initiative, which is being implemented across various sectors in the targeted villages. This phase encompasses 1,477 villages within 52 centers (Markaz) across 20 governorates.
