Prime Minister Reviews Tendering Process for “Fustat Hills Gardens” Project Management and Operation

Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting to review the progress of the procedures for tendering the management and operation of the “Fustat Hills Gardens” project, Invest-Gate reports.

The meeting was attended by Eng. Sherif El Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities; Major General Mahmoud Nassar, Head of the Central Agency for Reconstruction; Eng. Khaled Seddik, Chairman of the Urban Development Fund; Dr. Abdel Khalek Ibrahim, Assistant Minister of Housing; and Dr. Baher El-Shaarawy and Eng. Mostafa Abdel Wahab, Vice Chairmen of the Fund.

At the beginning of the meeting, Madbouly emphasized the significant interest in the “Fustat Hills Gardens” project, highlighting the need to focus on all aspects of this important initiative.

He noted that the project reflects the state’s vision for achieving integrated and sustainable urban development through its vast green spaces, making it one of the largest parks in the Middle East. The project will also feature numerous heritages, tourist, cultural, entertainment, hotel, and commercial areas, providing a variety of attractive activities.

In this context, Madbouly stressed that the company awarded the contract to manage and operate “Fustat Hills Gardens” must possess a high level of expertise and professionalism in managing such projects. This expertise will ensure that the project’s objectives are achieved, the investment is preserved, and the various components of this important initiative remain sustainable.

During the meeting, Eng. Sherif El Sherbini presented the implementation status of the ongoing works in the “Fustat Hills Gardens” Project as of this month. He outlined the progress and implementation rates for each area, the remaining works, and the scheduled completion dates for each component.

Additionally, Eng. Khaled Seddik reviewed the measures and steps taken regarding the management and operation of the “Fustat Hills Gardens” project. He pointed out the meetings held to discuss and review scenarios and proposals for project management and operation, as well as the agreement reached to offer the project to a single investor prior to its completion.

Seddik noted that the procedures included preparing the tender documents, awarding the project for management and operation, and publishing an announcement in official newspapers to invite Egyptian and international companies and alliances to pre-qualify for the project.

This announcement will be disseminated through social media and the official websites of several entities, as well as through appropriate channels, including Egyptian embassies, consulates, and commercial representation offices. This approach aims to ensure access to a wide audience of potential investors and open the way for broad participation from qualified local and international investment entities to manage this important project.

Significant interest has already been expressed by several specialized companies, both Egyptian and international, since the announcement was published. The Fund will respond to any inquiries from these companies intending to submit bids for this offering.
