Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly tours the development projects in Fayoum Governorate, accompanied by Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar, Major General Hisham Amna, Minister of Local Development, and Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Fayoum, Invest-Gate reports.
Madbouly also inspects the works of expanding and developing Fayoum’s main entrance, with a length of 1 km, within the governorate’s plan to develop the city’s main and subsidiary entrances and raise their efficiency in line with the environmental and cultural nature of the governorate.
Additionally, he inspects the expansion works of the drinking water treatment plant in New Al-Azab village, which is implemented by the Fayoum Drinking Water and Sanitation Company. He also refers to the government’s keenness to expand the implementation of projects that serve a large segment of citizens and provide job opportunities.
For his part, El Gazzar explains that these expansions represent phase III of this project, which aims to increase production capacity to 120,000 m3/day. Further, these expansion works use the American Technology for the first time in Egypt and operate the plant with a remote-control system, with about EGP 490 mn implementation cost. The project is scheduled to be completed in January 2023.
Al-Ansari says that the development works of Al-Sawaqi area are parallel to the development of service sites in the city.
Moreover, Madbouly stresses the importance of the development works for Al-Sawaqi area, which achieve the standards of the urban development of the city. The project also makes the optimum benefit of this area by launching projects that achieve economic returns and provide job opportunities.
