With around 95 thousand social housing units due for delivery in the second half of the current year, the Public Transport Authority is to increase public transport lines in 6th October City, Invest-Gate reports.

“Public transportation is conducive to population growth,” says Head of the 6th of October City Development Authority Essam Badawy.

The plans include four buses serving residential units on Fayoum road, including the industrial area and expansions of the city towards the north.

Two buses will run for the northern expansion area for the low-income housing, and two buses for the industrial area.  

Additionally, public transport will be provided for the students of “Ebny Beitak” area schools funded by the board of trustees budget in order to raise the quality of transport service.
