Qatar aims to improve infrastructure through 29 projects across the country, using $3.3 billion earmarked since 2014, an annual report released by Qatar’s Public Works Authority revealed, as reported by Arabian Business.
Three of the main projects will be located in the Doha Industrial Area. The first bundle of the projects, worth $384 million, has been allocated for enhancing infrastructure facilities and roads in the Industrial Area.
The second bundle records a cost of $340 million, and includes work on an area of 3.5 million square meters and 39 kilometers of road.
Other projects include construction of integrated roads, cycle paths and sewage networks, for which $185 million were targeted for the Northern Wukair area, while $181 million are dedicated for Al Kheesa North and East.
