The real estate price index in Qatar increased by the end of the second quarter of 2023 by 2.82% on a quarterly basis, Invest-Gate reports.
According to data released by the Qatar Central Bank, the real estate price index recorded 219.11 points at the end of June, compared to 213.10 points at the end of March 2023.
The data indicated that the index scored 213.61 points last May, down from 217.04 points in April. Year-to-date, the index declined by 1.80%, compared to 223.14 points in December 2022. The Qatari real estate price index decreased by 0.64%, compared to 220.52 points in June 2022.
It is worth noting that the real estate price index is updated quarterly based on data issued by the Ministry of Justice regularly.
The Qatar Central Bank launched the real estate price index in 2011 to measure real estate prices in a documented way to enable Islamic banks operating in the country to evaluate real estate credit portfolios.
