Red Sea Global Announces Opening of AMAALA: Saudi Arabia’s Ultra-Luxury Coastal Destination

Red Sea Global (RSG), the pioneering developer behind Saudi Arabia’s regenerative tourism projects, has officially announced the opening of AMAALA Triple Bay, the Kingdom’s new ultra-luxury coastal destination on the Red Sea, during the inaugural TOURISE Summit, Invest-Gate reports.

Stretching across three pristine bays along Saudi Arabia’s northwest coast where the Hijaz Mountains meet the Red Sea, AMAALA is set to redefine global standards in luxury wellness, marine exploration, and sustainable tourism.

“Derived from the Arabic word for hope, AMAALA represents a new era of coastal living rooted in wellness and connection,” said John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global. “It embodies the timeless Saudi traditions of renewal and retreat, inviting guests to discover what it truly means to live longer, better.”

The destination’s first phase includes six world-class resorts: Equinox Resort and Residences, Four Seasons Resort at Triple Bay, Nammos Resort, Rosewood AMAALA, Six Senses AMAALA, and the AMAALA Yacht Club. Each property blends advanced wellness offerings with bespoke luxury experiences.
Key attractions include the Wellness Route, a 5 km linear park connecting the resorts through pristine natural landscapes, and Corallium, a world-class marine life institute celebrating the beauty and resilience of the Red Sea.

Once complete, Phase One will encompass nine luxury resorts totaling over 1,600 keys, including branded and unbranded residences. RSG has invested approximately SAR 51.04 bn into the project, which is expected to create up to 50,000 new jobs and contribute SAR 11 billion (USD 3 bn) annually to Saudi Arabia’s GDP.

In line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, AMAALA aims to achieve a 30% net conservation benefit to local ecosystems by 2040, operating entirely on 100% renewable energy, thereby eliminating around 350,000 tons of CO₂ emissions each year.

Guests can reach AMAALA via Red Sea International Airport, which now operates direct flights from Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, and Riyadh, with a European route to follow soon.

With its blend of regenerative tourism, luxury living, and environmental stewardship, AMAALA is poised to become one of the world’s leading coastal lifestyle destinations, strengthening Saudi Arabia’s global presence in sustainable hospitality and wellness tourism.
