Mokhtar Ibrahim, Egypt-based construction firm, commenced rerouting the utility infrastructure related to the planned construction site of Cairo Metro Line III, said Mohamed Al Khatib, Deputy Chairman of Financial & Administrative Affairs and Director, Amwal Al Ghad reported.
The rerouting project’s estimated cost is EGP 170 million and is expected to take six months to complete, said Al Khatib.
Rerouting the utility infrastructure is necessary to pave the way for the third phase Metro Line III development.
Metro Line III, once completed in 2020, will run from Cairo Airport to Cairo University, running through downtown and the populated working-class Imbaba.
