Rixos Hotels is set to announce new development projects across a number of Egypt’s coastal areas during its participation in the 53rd edition of the ITB Berlin 2019, the world’s largest tourism trade fair, Invest-Gate reports.

During the show, which will take place from March 6-10, the international hotel chain will reveal details on the launch of new hospitality projects in Hurghada, Magawish, and Makadi Bay, while showcasing its existing properties in Egypt, namely Rixos Sharm El Sheikh, Rixos Premium Seagate, and Rixos Alamein, according to a released statement on March 4.

“Launching our new properties in ITB Berlin is a huge opportunity, and will help us capitalize on the exposure gained from our participation,” Erkan Yildirim, board member and managing director of Rixos Hotels Egypt, was quoted as saying.

“This is a perfect platform to meet the best of the industry minds, forge partnerships with them, and also help us understand challenges that the global hospitality industry faces today,” he added.

In addition, Yildirim revealed that Rixos Hotels will open during the current year two new world-class resorts in Hurghada that will offer a prime sea view. He also uncovered new expansion plans and upgraded developments for Magawish, Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh, Marsa Alam, and Cairo, according to the statement.

“The brand has gained monumental momentum in the country and we have also made significant progress towards our commitment to strengthening our portfolio in Egypt. We are confident that all newly opened Rixos properties, will successfully cater to the needs of the modern business and leisure travelers, across cities,” the managing director elaborated.

This year’s edition of the five-day event, ITB Berlin, is expected to host more than 170,000 global attendees, including 110,000 trade visitors.
