Rotana hotel management company announced during a recent press conference that it plans to open five hotels under the ‘Centro by Rotana’ brand in Saudi Arabia by the end of 2017.

Rotana’s CEO, Omer Kaddouri, speaking on the occassion of the opening of the Centro Shaheen Jeddah, announced the company’s plans to open another four hotels in the kingdom with another one in Jeddah, two in Riyadh and one in Al Khobar.

The press conference was organised by Rotana and Shuaa Capital, fund manager and developer of the Centro Shaheen Jeddah project. Explaining the decision to open further hotels in Saudi Arabia, Kaddouri stated that there is high demand in the Saudi market for affordable accommodations that offer comfort and quality service, which is exactly the concept of the Centro brand.

The company’s Chairman of Rotana Hotel Management Cooperation, Nasser Al Nowais, further explained the decision by pointing to the growing tourism industry in the kingdom, saying that it is “expected to be a major growth industry in the Kingdom in the foreseeable future.“

The new Centro Shaheen features 252 rooms and studios and is located just 20 minutes away from King Abdulaziz International Airport.
