Rotana Opens New Family-Friendly Resort in New Alamein

Rotana has expanded its presence in Egypt with the opening of the Palma Bay Rotana Resort in New Alamein, Invest-Gate reports.

This four-star, alcohol-free resort, boasting a private half-kilometer beach, offers 176 rooms and a range of top-tier amenities designed to provide a family-friendly atmosphere along the Mediterranean coast.

Philip Barnes, CEO of Rotana Hotels & Resorts, highlighted the significance of this new addition: “Palma Bay Rotana Resort marks an exciting milestone for Rotana as our second operational property in Egypt. With world-class amenities and scenic sea views, it’s designed to offer the perfect beach escape for travellers seeking relaxation and adventure.”

Tamer Saleh, General Manager of Palma Bay Rotana Resort, expressed pride in the new resort’s contribution to the region’s appeal: “The opening of our resort in New Alamein City is a testament to the allure of this rapidly growing coastal destination. Spanning 18,000 sqm, Palma Bay Rotana features rooms ranging from standard to expansive suites, all with a modern, contemporary aesthetic. Guests can choose from captivating sea views, peaceful lagoon vistas, or views of the distinctive Marina cityscape.

The resort is the second Rotana property in Egypt, following the Grand Rotana Resort & Spa in Sharm El Sheikh, bringing the total number of Rotana keys to 702. Rotana operates 77 hotels in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Turkey, serving over six million guests annually and planning further expansion with a pipeline of 9,830 keys across six brands.

This new resort, with an investment exceeding EGP 1.5 bn by Al Marasem International for Development, reflects Rotana’s commitment to enhancing its global portfolio and providing exceptional hospitality experiences.
