Rotana, an international hotel management company, is set to open 12 new hotels in the UAE by 2020, six of which are to become five-star hotels, while the other ones will comprise of four- and three-star hotels as well as hotel apartments, according to Rotana Times.

By end of 2020 emirates of Dubai will have seven new hotels, while four will be located in Abu Dhabi and one in Ras Al-Khaimah, Rotana announced.

Currently operating a portfolio of 32 hotels in the UAE, Rotana aims to add another 4,360 new units to its portfolio with those new hotels, taking its total in the UAE to 11,782. The planned hotel  expansion project is estimated to have a total value of $1.7 bn.
