The Real Estate Tax Authority (RTA) decides to extend the payment period of the real estate tax, Invest-Gate reports.

The payment period will be prolonged from June 16 to 30 without collecting interest for the delay, in a response to the request of taxpayers.

Deputy Finance Minister of Tax Policies, Amr El Monayer, agreed to extend the deadline to facilitate for financiers and collect the dues of the public treasury, Samia Hussein, RTA head, says.

El Monayer gave a nod to owners of residential units in remote areas like the North Coast, Matrouh, Alexandria, Suez, and Ain Sokhna, to make their payments in the RTA’s headquarters located in Cairo’s Lazoghly district without adding any additional interests.
