Russia and Egypt have signed a cooperation agreement on civil aviation security in a move to resume regular Russian flights to Cairo, Invest-Gate reports.

The agreement should allow Russian flights to Cairo to resume in February 2018, Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov says.

In 2015, Moscow banned civilian air traffic to Egypt after a Russian passenger jet crashed in Sinai killing all 224 people on board.
