Sadat City will collaborate with the Central Unit for Sustainable Cities and Renewable Energy in the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) to develop a low-cost productive community project, Invest-Gate reports.
The project is in efforts to create a 13-acre agriculture and fish farming platform located near a water treatment plant, according to Head of the City’s Authority Mohamed Ashour.
The project is a result of a cooperative protocol made between the Technological Science & Development Fund, NUCA, and the National Center for Housing & Development. It is considered a model that could be replicated in new cities.
The project will be developed on the Al Roba water plant, branching from a larger water treatment plant which will reportedly not hold high costs and ensure an eco-friendly environment.
