Saudi Arabia’s National Housing and Industrial Development and Logistics Program has successfully built the region’s first 3D printed house in the capital, Riyadh, in partnership with Dutch company CyBe, a pioneer in the field, Invest-Gate reports.
The house, which is situated on a housing ministry’s land at the west of King Khalid International Airport, was developed using one of the latest 3D printing technologies of the fourth generation for building technology, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said on November 6.
The aim of the project is to keep “abreast of the technological progress in the world of future construction, to benefit from the latest technologies in the world and to be the first to promote the adoption of innovative construction techniques.”
It also targets strengthening the Saudi local industry, in line with the objectives of the Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation 2020 Program.
Over the next five days, the 3D digital model will open its doors to specialists, workers, and engineers, besides architects and construction companies, to conduct their project studies, SPA stated.
In addition to those wishing to visit the house in order to observe the stages of printing and know all about the newly applied technique, by booking an appointment to visit through this link: https://housing.sa/3d.
