Saudi Arabia has partially lifted restrictions on April 26 across the country, while keeping 24-hour curfews in the city of Mecca and neighborhoods previously put in isolation, state news agency SPA reports.

Outside these exceptional locked down areas, curfews are reduced to be between 9 am and 5 pm until May 13.

Some economic and commercial activities are also allowed to restart, including wholesale and retail shops and shopping malls, from April 29 until May 13.

Activities which do not allow for physical distancing, including salons and cinemas, will remain closed. Social gatherings of more than five people are forbidden.

Shops permitted to open should ensure no more than one customer per 10 square meters are allowed in. Malls must be sterilized every 24 hours while children under the age of 15 are not allowed to enter.
