Jeddah’s governor has inaugurated the Jeddah Waterfront Project during a grand opening ceremony led by Prince Khalid Al Faisal, the Emir of Makkah, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reports.
The new Waterfront attraction, which spans an area of 730,000 square meters and a length exceeding four kilometer, costs a total of SAR 800 mn.
Jeddah’s new development boasts vast green areas, advanced infrastructure, a 650-meter long walkway, as well as three beaches, and seven recreational areas. The fourth and fifth phases have just been completed featuring over 275,000 square meters of green areas, SPA reports.
In addition, it has restaurants, parks, and play areas for children.
The area can accommodate 120,000 people at one time and has a parking capacity of 3,000 cars.
The Waterfront also features a 480 -meter sea wall, dancing fountains, access to Wi-Fi, and facilities for the disabled.
