As part of the government’s plan to improve infrastructure and other projects in the city of Madinah, Saudi Arabia is currently investing in 1,148 projects and expects to complete them all in 2017, reported the Saudi Gazette.

Total value of the projects stands at SAR 3 bn, comprising various developments such as hospitals, university expansions and infrastructure.

Among the more notable projects are a 400-bed university hospital at a price of SAR 500 mn and students residences at Talibah University for SAR 156 mn.
