The Saudi Housing Ministry signs an agreement with the General Investigation Authority to supervise violations conducted in selling and renting properties, Invest-Gate reports.

The protocol comes as part of its real estate legislation reform. Any violation is to be reported to the area’s authority in 24 hours of its occurrence, according to the ministry’s released statement.

Cases of violations also include, conducting real estate activity without licenses or permits, submitting misleading information about real estate projects to the Housing Ministry, and the attempt to sell or rent non-existing real estate properties through fraud contracts.
